Description

While the dinosaurs may be long extinct, visitors to the Academy of Natural Sciences in downtown Philadelphia can enjoy a glimpse at least of these mammoth warm-blooded reptiles' skeletons. Try your hand at fossil finding in the Big Dig in the Dinosaur Hall before heading on to have a look at large dioramas, spot butterflies and let your young ones loose in the Children's Museum. Catch a naturalist show in the Auditorium or the hands-on nature center for a better look at living species and keep your eyes pealed for historic artifacts like the Peary Flag and Egyptian mummies as you tour this educational facility.
