Erie is Pennsylvania's fourth largest city, with a population of nearly 300,000 people.
Despite Lake Erie being the smallest of the Great Lakes, there isn't a lack of things to do in around its 871 miles of shoreline. Located along the shore of Lake Erie, the town of Erie has a zoo and botanical gardens, a children's museum, an amusement park and houses the famous Flagship Niagara, a vessel that captured the lake from the British during the War of 1812.

Lake Erie has great fishing, camping, and boating opportunities, and of course, has Presque Isle, the only beach in the PA. Erie is located along the shore of Lake Erie in Northwestern Pennsylvania and is accessible off I-90 east/west, or I-79 North.
