Description

America's beloved symbol of freedom, Old Glory, is said to have its first stitches in the handiwork of Betsy Ross, back when the young nation was a mere thirteen colonies. Whether or not she was really the seamstress behind the original "Stars and Stripes", visitors can still enjoy a glimpse of early history touring the Betsy Ross House, a historic building where the woman was said to have lived for several years in the late 18th century. In summer, catch actors in colonial dress and educational programs in the courtyard.
