Even short a sugar craving there's plenty sweet to be said about Hershey, a small Pennsylvania town acclaimed internationally for its chocolates but also of note for its big amuseument parks.
Great Valley Grassland State Park's 2,826 acres preserve one of few intact examples of native grasslands on the floor of the Central Valley and are part of largest remaining contiguous block of wetlands in California. Several rare and endangered plant and animal species inhabit the park. Springtime wildflower displays, fishing and wildlife watching attract visitors to this undeveloped park, which also encompasses the former Fremont Ford State Recreation Area.
