Enjoy a quick cultural fix at the Japanese House and Garden in the Horticultural Center at Fairmount Park, a peaceful place of placid ponds, tree-frocked gardens and a traditional 17th-century Shoin-zukuri Japanese residence, Pine Breeze Villa (Shofuso). Relax under shady maples for awhile soaking it all in before taking a tour of the house. A tea ceremony can also be arranged for interested visitors, contact the information center for more details.
