Description
Until the founding of the Susquehanna Art Museum (SAM) in 1989, Pennsylvania's capital hadn't an art museum to call it's own. Now, visitors to this three-floor museum in downtown Harrisburg can enjoy four major seasonal exhibits annually featuring work by internationally reknowned artists and take in contemporary art by regional artists in the Doshi Gallery. SAM also offers educational programs for all ages and also brings art to the public courtesy of the VanGo!, the museum's mobile extension.
