Description

America's oldest Swedish Museum, the American Swedish Historical Museum, was founded in 1926 to provide visitors a glimpse of Swedish history and culture in America. Over the last eight decades, this museum, housed inside a replica of 17th-century manor house (Swedish of course), has done just that through galleries that range in theme from fine art to traditional furnishings, historic artifacts to notable Swedish American figures. In addition to Swedish festivies celebrated here throughout the year there are regularly changing exhibits that showa\case works by contemporary Swedish American artists in a variety of mediums.
