Even short a sugar craving there's plenty sweet to be said about Hershey, a small Pennsylvania town acclaimed internationally for its chocolates but also of note for its big amuseument parks.
Daniel Boone, famed American pioneer and frontiersman, may have blazed new trails in Kentucky but his roots lie in eastern Pennsylvania, not far from Reading, on his family's homestead. Today, administered as a state historic site, visitors can get a glimpse of Boone's life exploring historic buildings like the Boone House, Bertolet Sawmill, Homestead Barn and exhibits that tell the story of this noteworthy early American.
