Punxsutawney, PA, famous for its Groundhog Day, is located between the Allegheny and Susquehanna rivers. There is a Groundhog Zoo as well as the mythical Gobbler's Knob, the proverbial spot where Punxsutawney Phil checks his shadow to determine the length of winter each year. Punxsutawney is becoming a growing tourism area, though was once considered a coal miner's town.

Camping is available at one of several camp grounds in the area, and community parks and pools, a theater arts guild and several summer festivals are a lot of what you'll find in Punxsutawney, PA.
