Description

Tionesta Creek is one of the most picturesque streams on the forest. This stream lies in the Tionesta valley, and flows through the forest for about 40 miles. Fishing in the upper reaches is primarily for stocked trout while the lower reaches are inhabited by warm water fish. Trout fishing is better in late spring and early summer when water temperatures are cool.

State Route 666 parallels much of the stream. During high water, canoes are able to navigate many of the shallower sections of the stream. During low flow, much of the stream can be waded.
