New Castle is notably the "Fireworks Capital of the World" and Kennedy Square, the center of town has a Civil War monument nearby is McConnell's Mill State Park and Raccoon Creek State Park. Both are an oasis for hunting, fishing, rafting, hiking and climbing with miles of trails, paths and creeks.
